Reunion

A piece of Evangelion fan-art I did as a project for a university course. This project is based on a scene from the first episode of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, featuring a reunion between a boy and his estranged father.

This scene took just about a month to produce, from the modeling and texturing of assets, to laying out the room and settling on lighting. Everything was modeled in Maya and textured in Substance Painter. Some light compositing work was done in Lightroom.

Update: Remodeled a lot of the scene's elements. Walls, bridge, side bridges, catwalks have all been totally remodeled, and the textures of the Eva were redone.
